Silknet has been presented with the Speedtest Award for "Fastest Internet in Georgia"
According to data from Ookla, the world-renowned mobile and fixed internet speed testing and data analysis company, Silknet is the fastest internet provider in Georgia in 2025 for fixed internet. The company previously received the Ookla Speedtest award in 2020.
The American company Ookla, through its comprehensive analytical platform, monitors the quality of fixed and mobile internet networks across various countries worldwide, conducting speed testing via specialized applications. Ookla’s services are utilized by providers, mobile operators, businesses, government organizations, and universities globally.
In Georgia, Ookla began network testing last year and conducted observations on quality, speed, and other metrics over a 6-month period. The Speedtest Awards are based on results from this "Award Period," during which data is generated for further processing and analysis.
“Adding the 2025 Ookla Speedtest Award to our shelf is a proud moment that continues the story Silknet has been writing for years. We’ve won these trophies before, and each time, it serves as a reminder that staying at the top requires constant reinvention. We are seeing the fruits of our massive 5G expansion on the mobile side, while our fixed network remains the fastest and most reliable in Georgia. By excelling in both, we’ve truly become the strongest player on the market. It’s a joy to see our engineers' hard work and strategic investments turn into a seamless experience for our customers, at home or on the move.” – Nino Kankia, Chief Technical Officer of Silknet.
“Silknet’s achievement in winning the Speedtest Award for Fastest Internet during Q3-Q4 2025 highlights their commitment to excellence and positions them at the forefront of internet providers in Georgia, said Stephen Bye, President and CEO of Ookla, a division of Ziff Davis. “We commend their dedication to providing industry leading service in the market and congratulate them on this outstanding accomplishment."
Silknet holds a distinguished position in the Georgian telecommunications industry. It serves residential and corporate subscribers nationwide with mobile and fixed services—including internet, television, and digital applications. The company also possesses a robust telecommunications infrastructure in Tbilisi and the regions.

One of the world’s most recognized fast-food brands, KFC, is changing its delivery model in the Georgian market. Starting today, KFC delivery will be available only through Glovo, the multi-category delivery platform selected by the brand as its sole partner in Georgia. The decision is aimed at improving customer experience, enhancing delivery quality, and streamlining the overall process.
A Thoughtful Business Decision
Instead of operating across multiple platforms simultaneously, KFC is choosing a closer and fully integrated partnership with one platform. For customers, this means a more stable, predictable, and high-quality service. Globally, similar approaches are often adopted when the priority is not the number of delivery platforms, but the quality of service itself.
