Local export grew by 75.1% in January-March - GeoStat
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), from January to March 2026, Georgia’s exports (excluding non-declared exports) totalled USD 1,723.7 million, representing a 23.4 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
Domestic exports accounted for 65.1 per cent of the total, amounting to USD 1,122.8 million, a remarkable 75.1 per cent rise year-on-year.
GeoStat reports that from January to March 2026, the top ten trading partners accounted for 68.7 per cent of Georgia’s total domestic exports. The leading partners were China, with exports valued at USD 198.1 million; Turkey, with USD 134.3 million; and Russia, with USD 134.0 million.
Furthermore, from January to March 2026, petroleum and petroleum oils ranked first among the country’s top export commodities, amounting to USD 200.7 million and representing 17.9 per cent of total domestic exports. Exports of precious metal ores and concentrates followed, reaching USD 169.9 million and accounting for 15.1 per cent of the total. The third highest export item was ferro-alloys, valued at USD 75.8 million, which constituted 6.8 per cent of the total domestic exports.
