Forecasters predict relatively cool and periodically wet weather across Georgia in coming days
According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), relatively cool and periodically wet weather is expected across Georgia in the coming days, with thunderstorms and strengthening winds possible in some areas.
Meteorologists report that brief spells of rain accompanied by thunder are expected in Tbilisi on May 19th and 21st, whilst May 20 will remain dry. Daytime temperatures will reach +20 to +22°C.
“Coastal areas (Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia, Poti): brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +18 to +20°C.
Lowland areas of western Georgia (Zestaponi, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Martvili, Ozurgeti): brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +20 to +22°C.
Mountainous areas of western Georgia (Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Shovi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Khulo, Rikoti Pass): brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +18 to +20°C.
High-mountain areas of western Georgia (Mestia, Bakhmaро): brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +13 to +15°C.
Kartli (Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori, Tskhinvali): brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +20 to +22°C.
Kakheti (Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, Dedoplistskaro): brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +21 to +23°C.
Mountainous areas of eastern Georgia (Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Dusheti, Tianeti, Pasanauri): brief rain and thunderstorms are expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +15 to +17°C.
High-mountain areas of eastern Georgia (Akhalkalaki, Tsalka, Bakuriani, Gudauri, Omalo): brief rain is expected. Daytime temperatures will reach +11 to +13°C,” the National Environment Agency stated.
