A Georgian wine festival has been held in Oslo, Norway, at the historic Gamle Logen venue, organised by Norwegian company Gvino AS with financial backing from the National Wine Agency of Georgia.

According to the National Wine Agency, the following Georgian wine producers took part: Gura, Winery, Gio’s Marani, Tavantkari, Baia’s Wine, Papari Valley, Villa Mosavali, BJ Wines, Tsinandali Vineyards, Ethno, Bediani, Pheasant’s Tears, and Labara.

The event featured professional wine tastings, presentations, B2B meetings, and a seminar, attended by local importers, distributors, representatives of the HoReCa sector, and members of the media.
The National Wine Agency noted that Gvino AS has been actively involved in promoting Georgian wine on the Norwegian market since 2018, organising tastings, masterclasses, and a variety of cultural events.

The Georgian Wine Festival in Norway was held for the first time in 2023 and has since established itself as one of the most significant platforms for promoting Georgian wine in the country.

According to 2025 figures, Norway imported 137,724 litres of wine from Georgia, a 27% rise on the previous year’s equivalent figure.

With the support of the National Wine Agency, a series of major marketing initiatives have been carried out in recent years across Scandinavia and Northern Europe to raise the profile of Georgian wine.

Campaigns have been conducted in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland, and active marketing campaigns and promotional events are set to continue across these markets throughout 2026.
