Scattered showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds forecast for April 23–24

news image

The National Environmental Agency (NEA) has issued a warning regarding the approaching weather conditions in Georgia.

Forecasters predict that on April 23–24, sporadic rainfall will continue across the region, with some areas experiencing heavy showers. There is a possibility of thunderstorms, hail, and strong gusts of wind, along with avalanche risk in high-altitude regions.

According to the Agency, the expected rainfall may cause a notable increase in river water levels, trigger flash floods in smaller streams, and activate landslides and sandstorms in hilly and mountainous areas, all with a medium level of risk.
