As part of Georgian Post’s general director - Giorgi Eradze's working visit to China, Georgian Post signed a cooperation agreement with Cainiao, the logistics platform of Alibaba Group, marking another significant step toward strengthening Georgia's role as a regional logistics hub.

Under the agreement, Georgian Post and Cainiao will cooperate in developing a regional transit and distribution network serving cross-border e-commerce flows across Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Belarus.

Under the project, Georgia will serve as a regional transit and distribution hub, where international mail and cargo will be received, sorted, consolidated, and forwarded to their destination countries. This operating model will significantly expand Georgian Post's international operations, strengthen the country's logistics infrastructure, and reinforce Georgia's position as a regional logistics hub for cross-border e-commerce.
"We are pleased to advance our cooperation with Cainiao, Alibaba Group's logistics platform, to a new level. This agreement enables Georgian Post to further strengthen its position in international e-commerce logistics and play a more active role in global supply chains. Our strategic objective is to establish Georgia as a regional logistics hub capable of efficiently serving both our international partners and customers across the region. This partnership will contribute to the continued development of cross-border e-commerce while enhancing logistics processes and the quality of services we provide to our customers," said Giorgi Eradze, General Director of Georgian Post.
