EBRD raises Georgia’s 2026 economic growth forecast to 6.5%
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has upgraded its economic growth forecast for Georgia.
According to updated projections, Georgia’s real gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to expand by 6.5% in 2026 and by 5.5% in 2027.
Both projections reflect a 0.5 percentage-point upgrade relative to the figures published in the Bank’s June outlook.
“Growth was broad-based in the first half of the year, driven significantly by information and communication services, manufacturing, transportation and storage, as well as financial and insurance activities. Meanwhile, tourism revenues fell by 2.0% year on year. Growth in goods exports reached approximately 20%, significantly outpacing the 2.3% growth in imports,” the EBRD report states.
