Georgia continues cooperation with Middle Corridor partners to strengthen transport connectivity - Georgian Economy Minister
Georgian Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili on Tuesday said Georgia would continue close cooperation with partner countries along the Middle Corridor to make the route more competitive and transform it into a key transport link, rather than an alternative route.
Speaking to journalists, Kvrivishvili stressed the importance of close cooperation with partner countries in further developing the corridor.
“I would especially highlight Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and China, this cooperation has already produced very tangible results. Last year, cargo turnover increased by 33%, and we are very optimistic and determined that this year will also be another successful year, as we continue very close cooperation with the Middle Corridor partner countries”, she said.
Kvrivishvili emphasised that through joint efforts, projects and initiatives, the countries involved aim to make the Middle Corridor increasingly competitive.
“Our goal is for our common corridor to become even more competitive - not an alternative, but the main transport link”, she concluded.
