Georgian Minister of Economy meets Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade, Jagoda Lazarević

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, has met with the Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade, Jagoda Lazarević, according to information released by the Ministry of Economy.

The ministry stated that during the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for deepening economic cooperation, trade, and economic ties, as well as collaboration in the tourism and transport sectors.

“Mariam Kvrivishvili highlighted the positive momentum in economic relations between Georgia and Serbia. Particular attention was paid to the ongoing negotiations for a bilateral free trade agreement, which is expected to boost trade turnover significantly.

Mariam Kvrivishvili also introduced the Serbian delegation to Georgia’s favourable investment climate.

When discussing cooperation in tourism and transport, the parties noted that the number of Serbian tourists visiting Georgia is growing.

Furthermore, direct flights play a vital role in stimulating tourist flows and strengthening business ties between the two nations,” the Ministry of Economy statement read.
