Minister of Economy attends World AI conference in Shanghai, opened by Chinese President Xi Jinping
The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, is participating in the World Conference on Artificial Intelligence and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance in Shanghai.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the event was officially opened by the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, who delivered an opening address to the delegates.
The central theme of this year’s World AI Conference is “Partnership in AI for a Better Future”.
As part of the summit, the Minister is scheduled to deliver a speech during the “High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance”. Participants will also exchange strategic visions and perspectives on the core theme during the working sessions.
The ongoing World AI Conference in Shanghai brings together high-ranking representatives, policymakers, and industry executives from more than 100 countries, international organisations, and the private sector.

Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili attended an exhibition at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center organized within the framework of the World Conference on Artificial Intelligence.
Vice Mayor of Shanghai hosted the delegations. The conference participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest digital achievements and strategic directions in the development of artificial intelligence.
