NBG President assesses Tbilisi Finance Summit as highly successful
“The Tbilisi Financial Summit was highly successful, and there was significant interest in the event. It is important that an international gathering of this scale is being held in Georgia. We have much to share with our international partners and colleagues, first and foremost, our macroeconomic stability and economic growth, which enhance Georgia’s appeal as an investment destination,” said Natia Turnava, President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), summing up Tbilisi Finance Summit 2026.
According to the NBG President, participation of international investors and investment funds in the summit is significant for the expansion of investments.
Natia Turnava emphasized cooperation with central banks of neighboring countries for intensification of regional ties.
“Georgia maintains high growth rates, which makes our country attractive to investors,” stated Natia Turnava.
She noted that during the summit, particular attention was devoted to financial technologies, digital currencies, artificial intelligence, the development of payment systems, and the maintenance of financial stability amidst geopolitical challenges.
“Participants discussed how the use of innovative technologies could make financial services more efficient and accessible, while also addressing how the associated risks should be managed,” she said.
The NBG President noted that the summit will be established as an annual tradition to “continue international dialogue and deepen cooperation in the financial sector.”
On October 27-28, Tbilisi hosted the 2nd Tbilisi Finance Summit, which brought together representatives of central banks, international financial institutions, fintech and innovation companies.
