Georgian Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili on Wednesday said she expected the Prime Minister's visit to Singapore to produce tangible results that would strengthen Georgia's economic ties with the Southeast Asian nation.

In her remarks, Kvrivishvili said the visit had been particularly productive and would help attract additional investment.

“It can be said that the visit was exceptionally productive. We believe it will deliver many tangible results that will strengthen our country's economic ties with Singapore. At the same time, we will have the opportunity to attract additional investment in the transport and logistics sector, as well as in the financial sector”, she said.

“The interest shown by Changi Airport in Georgia is particularly welcome. It was noted that Georgia has demonstrated outstanding growth in the aviation sector, and that the increase in passenger traffic and tourism has been a key factor behind their interest in Georgia”, Kvrivishvili concluded.
