The Study and Get Employed program of the Tbilisi City Hall opens registration for the spring semester from March 17 to April 1, offering over 80 free courses.

A memorandum was signed between Tbilisi City Hall and the Georgian Business Association, which envisages the involvement of the private sector in the implementation of the program in addition to state institutions.

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze and Georgian Business Association President Soso Pkhakadze signed the memorandum. The program aims to train and retrain specialists to eliminate deficiencies on the labour market.

“More than 15,000 graduates and 75% employed – this is the indicator we have achieved in recent years, after the launch of the Study and Get Employed program. This year, about 2,000 Tbilisi residents will join this significant program, who will take more than 80 popular courses completely free of charge,” Kakha Kaladze said.

Tbilisi Mayor added that the Municipality, within the scope of its capabilities, will do its best to support the education of youngsters and their development.

Based on the recent adjustment, this year, the minimum age for participation in the program has been set at 16 years instead of 18. A career consulting centre operates for the graduates to assist the program participants in communicating with potential employers.

Taking into account modern global trends and local needs, two priority spheres were observed for this year’s enrolment – technology transformation and energy efficiency.
