“Over the past week, we have been working very closely with the Ministry of Health of Georgia to find a pathway to ensure access to Givinostat in Georgia for patients suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy,” stated Francesco Di Marco, Chief Executive Officer of the Italfarmaco Group.

According to Di Marco, he was deeply impressed by the Ministry’s unwavering dedication and firm resolve to make Givinostat available to Georgian patients.

“This agreement clearly demonstrates the power of partnership. When patients, government, and industry come together, nothing is impossible, and the patient truly becomes the central focus of every effort. I am genuinely proud of this co-operation, and we will continue working alongside the Georgian government and the patient community to ensure this opportunity reaches every single patient,” Francesco Di Marco stated.

For context, an agreement was signed with the Italian company Italfarmaco to procure the medication Givinostat, which is designated for patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
