Georgia offers ease of doing business, attractive investment climate - Zhorzholiani on Singapore talks
Meetings held during the official visit to Singapore focused on deepening bilateral ties and attracting foreign direct investment, according to Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Georgian Government Administration.
Zhorzholiani emphasised that drawing on Singapore’s experience remains highly valuable for Georgia.
“The Prime Minister, along with the Georgian delegation, held meetings with both the President and Prime Minister of Singapore. Discussions centred on deepening bilateral cooperation, as both nations serve as vital financial and logistics hubs in their respective regions, despite the geographical distance between us.
Consequently, Singapore’s experience is of immense value to Georgia,” Zhorzholiani noted.
“Attracting investment is equally critical. Singapore boasts highly developed financial institutions, and expanding collaboration in information technology is a key priority. We are also meeting with representatives from leading Fintech companies, where the Ministry of Economy will deliver a presentation on Georgia’s investment climate.
We are a nation where doing business is straightforward, taxes are low, and the investment climate is highly attractive. Coupled with the stable and peaceful environment established in Georgia, this makes attracting foreign investment significantly easier,” Zhorzholiani said.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze is currently on a working visit to Singapore. He is accompanied by an official delegation that includes Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
