Friendly relations between Georgia and Kyrgyzstan, bilateral ties and cooperation within international organisations were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.

Particular attention was paid to the importance of fully realising the potential of the Middle Corridor.

The two sides also discussed strategically important infrastructure projects, including the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and the Anaklia Deep Sea Port.

The importance of cooperation between the two parliaments in establishing an appropriate legislative framework to support these initiatives was also emphasised.
