Georgian PM, Kyrgyz Interior Minister discuss cooperation
Existing cooperation between Georgia and Kyrgyzstan was discussed on Friday in a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Kyrgyz Interior Minister Ulan Niyazbekov.
The meeting emphasised the importance of high-level visits for the further development of bilateral relations.
The officials noted that the documents signed during Kobakhidze’s visit to Kyrgyzstan created an important basis for deepening partnership in various fields.
The meeting also discussed the issues of cooperation in the security sector, both bilaterally and regionally.
The Prime Minister thanked Niyazbekov for Kyrgyzstan's support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders.

The U.S. Department of State published the 2026 Fiscal Transparency Report, according to which Georgia is among 139 countries which meet minimum fiscal transparency requirements.
The report assesses the government’s efforts to publicly disclose key budget documents, the public availability of natural resource extraction contracts, and public availability of public procurement contracts, etc.
Fiscal transparency is a critical element of effective public financial management, helps build market confidence, and underpins economic sustainability.
It fosters greater government accountability by providing a window into government budgets, helping citizens hold their leadership accountable and facilitating better public debate.
