PM meets newly appointed Turkish ambassador
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Georgia, Mustafa Turker Ari.
The head of government congratulated the ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission and wished him success in his work.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized the strong strategic partnership between the two countries, based on shared regional interests. Particular attention was paid to the importance of strengthening economic ties, with Turkey noted as Georgia’s leading trading partner.
The parties also discussed opportunities for the development of the Middle Corridor and joint regional projects. In this context, they underlined the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.

SSSG Head meets with Armenian Ambassador

Geka Geladze, the Head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), met with Ashot Smbatyan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia.
During their discussion, the officials examined the strategic partnership between the two nations. They also addressed ongoing regional developments and security challenges.
According to the SSSG, Geka Geladze emphasised the importance of robust cooperation between Georgia’s and Armenia’s security services, and he expressed his willingness to strengthen and deepen this partnership.
The Armenian Ambassador congratulated Geka Geladze on his appointment as Head of the Security Service and extended his best wishes for success.
