Tbilisi Mayor pays working visit to China
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has arrived in the People’s Republic of China on an official working visit.
According to the press service of Tbilisi City Hall, the itinerary includes a high-level meeting with the Mayor of Nanjing, Li Zhongjun.
As part of the delegation, the Mayor of Tbilisi will visit CRRC, the world’s largest manufacturer of metro rolling stock, where he is scheduled to hold talks with the company’s chairman, Sun Yongcai, and inspect the new metro carriages designated for Tbilisi.
The delegation accompanying the Mayor includes Giorgi Sharkov, Director of the Tbilisi Transport Company.

Georgia Finance Minister meets AIIB President at Annual Summit

Georgia’s Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, met with Zou Jiayi, the President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), on the sidelines of the institution’s 11th Annual Meeting. Zou Jiayi assumed the presidency for a five-year term in January this year.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the Georgian delegation also included Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze.
During the inaugural meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation, progress on bank-funded projects in Georgia, and future strategic priorities.
The Finance Minister briefed the AIIB President on Georgia’s current macroeconomic landscape and medium-term forecasts. He thanked the bank for its ongoing contribution to the country’s sustainable development.
Discussions focused on major international infrastructure projects underway in Georgia and their strategic significance both nationally and across the wider region. The talks also covered expanding cooperation in capital market development.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued collaboration to support Georgia’s long-term sustainable growth. The Finance Minister extended an official invitation for President Zou to visit Georgia.
