Education Minister visits Paris to attend UNESCO Education Summit

Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, has departed for Paris, France, on a working visit.

According to the Ministry of Education, the minister will participate in the Transforming Education Summit, an international conference to be held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

During his visit, Mikanadze is also scheduled to hold meetings with UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany and UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education Qian Tang, the ministry said.

image Georgian carrier OneClick Airways launches bi-weekly direct flights to Tel Aviv

The Georgian airline OneClick Airways has commenced scheduled flight operations from Tbilisi International Airport, TAV Georgia, the operating company for Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, reported.

According to the operator, the airline will operate direct flights between the Georgian and Israeli capitals twice a week.

“Tel Aviv to Tbilisi flights will operate every Thursday and Sunday, while Tbilisi to Tel Aviv flights are scheduled every Monday and Friday. OneClick Airways has already transported its inaugural passengers from the Israeli capital to Tbilisi aboard a Boeing 737 aircraft. To mark the arrival of the maiden flight, a symbolic celebratory event was organised by TAV Georgia, the operating company of Tbilisi and Batumi airports,” the statement noted.
