Finance Minister meets ICBC Standard Bank Director

Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili met Chong Gao, Chief Executive Officer and General Director at ICBC Standard Bank Plc, the bank’s deputy director Matthew Zheng and Heads of key departments during his working visit to London, UK.

The meeting touched on the current trends and future plans for issuing Georgian securities in the international and local markets, accentuating the prospects for Georgian securities in the Asian market and the growing interest of investors in this direction.

The meeting reviewed the current parameters of Georgia’s macroeconomic and fiscal policy, updated forecast indicators, and economic development trends.

Deputy Finance Minister Ekaterine Guntsadze and Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom Ilia Darchiashvili attended the meeting.

image Georgian Railway adds extra Tbilisi–Batumi–Tbilisi services from June 16 due to increased passenger demand

Due to increased passenger demand, Georgian Railway is adding extra services on the Tbilisi–Batumi–Tbilisi route starting from June 16.

According to Georgian Railway, the additional trains will run from June 16 to September 30 inclusive, according to the following timetable:

Trains will depart Tbilisi for Batumi at 00:30, arriving in Batumi at 05:42. Return services will depart Batumi for Tbilisi at 00:35, arriving in the capital at 05:34.

The company also noted that from June 16 to October 9 inclusive, trains will operate on the following schedule:

Departing Tbilisi for Batumi at 10:10, and returning from Batumi to Tbilisi at 18:30.

Tickets can be purchased via the website and app (available on iOS and Android), at Georgian Railway ticket offices, and through Georgian Railway’s partner companies.
