First-grade students parents to be able to purchase school uniforms online from September 1
Parents of first-grade students will be able to purchase school uniforms starting September 1, both at designated retail outlets and through the online platform formebi.emis.ge.
The new platform was presented to media representatives by Levan Ghirsiashvili, First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, and Giorgi Arsoshvili, head of the Education Management Information System (EMIS).
The electronic platform will allow parents or legal representatives to purchase school uniforms online and have their orders delivered to a specified address without leaving home. Georgia Post will be responsible for delivering and handing over the packages to customers.
Through the school uniform platform, users will be able to view information about uniform models, prices and available sizes, as well as banking offers and the exact addresses of retail outlets.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth said that EMIS will be responsible for the operation and management of the online school uniform platform.

Reconstruction of 4.4 km road launched in Tsalka

Reconstruction of the 4.4 kilometer-long Imera-Bareti-Tejisi-Chivtkilisa-Khachkoi-Gumbati-Avranlo road has been launched at the order of the Roads Department of Georgian Infrastructure Ministry in the Tsalka Municipality.
According to the Roads Department, reconstruction works will improve movement quality, traffic safety, reduce travel time and transportation expenditures.
The project involves the construction of a two-lane roadway, reinforced concrete ditches and channels, culverts, and a gabion wall. Additionally, appropriate road signs will be installed, and road markings will be applied.
The project is financed from the state budget at the value of 4.6 million GEL. The reconstruction works will be completed in 2027.
