Georgian wine showcased at major South-Eastern European exhibition in Belgrade
With financial support from the National Wine Agency, 16 Georgian wine-producing companies participated in Wine Vision by Open Balkan 2026, the international wine, food, spirits, and tourism exhibition in Belgrade, Serbia.
According to the agency, the exhibition serves as a vital international platform for Georgian wine producers. Participation helps local winemakers identify new trade partners, expand export markets, and establish a stronger global presence.
Held annually in Belgrade, the exhibition is one of South-Eastern Europe’s largest trade fairs. It traditionally brings together nearly 500 producers from around 30 countries worldwide, offering a unique space for wine business representatives, distributors, and importers to build new commercial partnerships.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic, Levan Beridze, attended the exhibition.
The Embassy of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic, which also maintains concurrent diplomatic relations with the Republic of Serbia, supported Georgian producers participating in Wine Vision by Open Balkan 2026.
Promoting Georgian wine and raising its global profile is a top priority for the National Wine Agency. Since 2013, its targeted marketing campaigns across the US, Europe, and Asia have successfully expanded export potential and driven entry into new global markets.

According to the Ministry of Finance, as part of the “Small Talk” symposium organised by Bank of America (BofA), the minister presented an overview of Georgia’s macroeconomic and fiscal indicators as well as medium-term plans to interested investment banks and asset managers.
“Discussions focused on Georgia’s current macroeconomic and fiscal metrics, medium-term forecasts, conditions across international and emerging financial markets, and the domestic investment climate.

The inclusion of lari-denominated Georgian government bonds in J.P. Morgan’s new GBI-EM Edge index in September this year will further boost investor interest.
The discussions also touched on Georgia’s initiatives across domestic and international capital markets to diversify funding sources and expand its investor base.
Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze also attended the meetings on behalf of the Ministry,” the ministry stated.
