Short rain and thunderstorms expected across Georgia on August 19–21
The National Environmental Agency has released a weather forecast for Georgia for August 19–21.
According to meteorologists, short periods of rain accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in some parts of Georgia over the coming days, amid generally warm weather.
In Tbilisi, brief light rain with thunderstorms and strengthening winds is possible. Daytime temperatures will reach +31 to +33°C.
In the coastal areas of Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia and Poti, brief rain accompanied by thunderstorms is possible. Daytime temperatures will range from +27 to +29°C.
In the lowland areas of western Georgia, including Zestafoni, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Martvili and Ozurgeti, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Daytime temperatures will reach +30 to +32°C.
In the mountainous areas of western Georgia, including Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Shovi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Khulo and the Rikoti Pass, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Daytime temperatures will be +30 to +32°C.
In the high-mountainous areas of western Georgia, including Mestia and Bakhmaro, brief rain and thunderstorms are possible in some areas. Daytime temperatures will range from +27 to +29°C.
In Kartli, including Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori and Tskhinvali, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Daytime temperatures will reach +31 to +33°C.
In Kakheti, including Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta and Dedoplistskaro, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Daytime temperatures will range from +31 to +33°C.
In the mountainous areas of eastern Georgia, including Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Dusheti, Tianeti and Pasanauri, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Daytime temperatures will reach +28 to +30°C.
In the high-mountainous areas of eastern Georgia, including Akhalkalaki, Tsalka, Bakuriani, Gudauri and Omalo, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Daytime temperatures will range from +23 to +25°C.
