Vintage coordination facility opens in Gurjaani
Georgian Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Davit Songhulashvili visited the Vintage Coordination Facility in Gurjaani town of the eastern Kakheti region.
During the grape harvest season, the facility will coordinate the process, provide relevant information to winegrowers and wine producers, and ensure the prompt resolution of harvest-related issues. The facility will operate on a 24-hour basis so that no harvest is left unattended.
At the decision of the Georgian government, Harvest Management Company LLC will purchase grapes harvested in the Kakheti region from individuals at established prices.
The price for undamaged Saperavi grapes with a sugar content of at least 21% is set at 1.50 GEL, whereas for substandard Saperavi, where the sugar content is between 17% and 21% and/or the grapes are partially damaged, the price will be 0.90 GEL. The price for damaged Saperavi and/or Saperavi with a sugar content of less than 17% is set at 0.30 GEL.

Reconstruction of 4.4 km road launched in Tsalka

Reconstruction of the 4.4 kilometer-long Imera-Bareti-Tejisi-Chivtkilisa-Khachkoi-Gumbati-Avranlo road has been launched at the order of the Roads Department of Georgian Infrastructure Ministry in the Tsalka Municipality.
According to the Roads Department, reconstruction works will improve movement quality, traffic safety, reduce travel time and transportation expenditures.
The project involves the construction of a two-lane roadway, reinforced concrete ditches and channels, culverts, and a gabion wall. Additionally, appropriate road signs will be installed, and road markings will be applied.
The project is financed from the state budget at the value of 4.6 million GEL. The reconstruction works will be completed in 2027.
