Condé Nast Traveller names Georgia among top 4 travel destinations
The Indian edition of Condé Nast Traveller, an influential international publication, has named Georgia among the four best tourist destinations.
“Georgia at this time of year is a blend of mountain air, vineyard-covered valleys, and compact cities where traveling does not require extensive planning once you arrive. In May, the country is already in full spring bloom: temperatures in Tbilisi range between 15–25°C, while the highland regions of the Caucasus are cooler, with melting snow covering everything in lush greenery”, writes the journalist of Condé Nast Traveller.
The article describes Tbilisi, the city’s historic districts, and tourist routes. Alongside the capital, Condé Nast Traveller also recommends traveling through Georgia’s regions.
“From Tbilisi, travelers often head north toward Kazbegi. In May, the valley is completely green, with temperatures between 10–20°C, creating comfortable conditions for hiking. The hiking trail leading to Gergeti Trinity Church is one of the main routes, offering ever-changing cloudy landscapes”, the article notes.
The publication also describes family-owned wineries in the Kakheti region with wine tastings, as well as Georgia’s cultural heritage monuments - Mtskheta and Uplistsikhe.
Along with Georgia, the publication also named Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan.
