Georgian wine producers showcase products at Chengdu Exhibition
With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, six Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the Fine Wine Hotel Exhibition held in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China.
According to the agency, participation in the exhibition will help increase awareness of Georgian wine, attract new partners, and strengthen export positions.
Within the event, a Georgian wine tasting seminar was also held, led by renowned wine expert Fongyee Walker. The seminar brought together around 100 participants, including wine professionals, importers, and representatives of the HoReCa sector, which is considered important for promoting Georgian wine in the Chinese market. Wines from eight Georgian producers were presented at the tasting.
The agency also noted that Georgian wine will be featured this week at the large-scale China Food & Drinks Fair, along with the Fine WineCR seminar in Chengdu.
Diversification of export markets remains one of the key priorities of the National Wine Agency. China is identified as a strategic market, where marketing campaigns for Georgian wine have been actively conducted since 2013. With the agency’s support, Georgian producers regularly participate in major international exhibitions, including RAW Wine Shanghai, the Shanghai International Wine Challenge, and Interwine China.
