Virtuoso Magazine publishes article on Georgia
Virtuoso Magazine, an international travel publication oriented toward premium-segment travellers, featured an extensive article on Georgia’s tourism potential in its September-October issue.
The author of the article “Georgia on My Mind”, Matt Duttle visited the country on a press trip organized by the Georgian National Tourism Administration.
The author notes he had visited over 80 countries but was still amazed by Georgia’s landscapes, which span an area half the size of the U.S. state of Georgia.
“Before coming to Georgia, I didn’t know much about it—other than the fact that I really enjoyed the Georgian dishes I’d tasted at restaurants near my home in New York. Here, I explored villages with stone towers, centuries-old wine cellars, and family kitchens—experiences that ultimately made me fall in love with this little-known country,” he wrote.
The author describes his tour to Kazbegi, Juta Gorge, Khevsureti cultural heritage, Georgian hospitality, cuisine, Kakheti’s wine-making traditions and historic wine cellars.
According to the National Tourism Administration, the article will contribute to promoting Georgia on the international market as a diverse, four-season tourist destination and to attracting tourists.
