A Georgian wine tasting event has taken place in Düsseldorf, Germany, financed by the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organised by its contracted marketing firm, ff.k Public Relations.

The event’s core concept focused on pairing Georgian wines with local German cuisine. The tasting was attended by wine professionals from across the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, and Café) sector.

According to the National Wine Agency, Germany is one of Georgia’s strategic target markets. To bolster export potential there, the National Wine Agency has been collaborating with ff.k Public Relations since 2021. As part of this ongoing campaign, tastings and seminars are regularly held across various German cities for wine professionals, merchants, and consumers alike. The strategy also includes showcasing Georgian wine at international trade fairs, running targeted advertising and media campaigns, and organising inbound wine tours to Georgia for journalists, sommeliers, and buyers.

Germany is now one of the top five importers of Georgian wine, reflecting consistent sales growth. From January to May this year, Georgia exported nearly 670,000 litres of wine to Germany, representing a 33% increase compared to the same period last year.
